About the Role

As a First Aider with Crane Medical Care, you will work as part of our event medical teams supporting patients at a variety of events across the North West.

You will initially join at Level 1 within our internal event medical framework and will receive the training and support required to understand how Crane Medical Care operates.

Depending on your experience, development and operational competence, there are opportunities to progress through Levels 2 and 3, alongside further internal training and development opportunities.

Your role may include:

Providing first aid to members of the public at events
Responding to incidents as part of an event medical team
Carrying out initial patient assessments within your level of training and competence
Providing appropriate first aid treatment
Escalating patients to more senior clinicians when required
Communicating clearly with colleagues, patients and event teams
Completing appropriate patient documentation
Working within Crane Medical Care policies, procedures and clinical frameworks
Participating in training and ongoing development
Representing Crane Medical Care professionally at all times

You may work at sporting fixtures, stadium events, concerts, festivals, community events and other public events depending on operational requirements.

There are no guaranteed minimum hours. Shifts are offered according to operational requirements, and team members are not obliged to accept every shift offered.

Requirements

Essential:


  • A positive, professional attitude and willingness to learn

  • Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a wider event medical team

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Able to remain calm and professional in busy or challenging environments

  • Willing and able to travel to events across the North West

  • Willing to complete Crane Medical Care’s internal training and competency requirements

  • Commitment to working within your level of training, competence and Crane Medical Care policies

  • Willingness to undertake the required DBS checks where applicable


Desirable:


  • Valid Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) qualification

  • Enhanced Child DBS

  • Previous first aid, healthcare, event or customer-facing experience

  • Experience working at sporting events, concerts, festivals or other large public events

  • Student Paramedic, Student Doctor, Student Nurse or other healthcare-related study

  • Interest in progressing within event medical care

  • Based locally within Liverpool, Wirral, Cheshire, Merseyside or the wider North West

Crane Medical Care is a family-owned medical provider delivering professional event medical services across the North West.

Our team supports a wide range of events, from professional football and major stadium events to concerts, festivals, sporting events and community events.

We are supported by strong clinical governance and place a major focus on developing our team. First Aiders join at our internal Level 1 and can progress through Levels 2 and 3 as they gain experience, complete training and demonstrate operational competence.

Further development opportunities can include FREC 3 training, event leadership roles, control room opportunities, operational roles and progression into wider areas of Crane Medical Care.
