At Crane Medical Care, maintaining high clinical standards and safe, effective patient care is a shared responsibility. To support this, all team members are required to attend mandatory annual training days, which form part of our ongoing competency and re-certification process.

These training days are designed to refresh core knowledge, reinforce best practice, and ensure consistency across our teams. They include a combination of:

  • Classroom-based learning to update clinical knowledge, policies, and procedures. Here you will also have the option to progress to the next level of first aid, if your are deemed competent at your current level.

  • Major incident training & awareness session.

  • Practical simulations and scenario-based exercises to develop decision-making, communication, and teamwork in realistic environments. They tend to incorporate common event medicine presentations such as:

    • Heart attacks

    • Collapses

    • Drug and alcohol intoxication

    • Burns

    • Safeguarding

    • Cardiac arrest

    • Major haemorrhage

Annual training ensures that all team members remain competent, confident, and prepared to respond effectively in both routine and high-pressure situations. Attendance and participation are monitored as part of our governance, training, and compliance requirements. It is also a fantastic oppurtunity for you to develop your skills and competencies.
